Cartoons by mosqqq

Twenty-five years ago a Disney cartoonist Jeff Law and I decided to go into together and submit cartoons to the New Yorker magazine which at the time was about the only resource left for single panel cartoons. We submitted about thirty of them and the cartoon editor was complementary but said Booth submitted cartoons for three years before they published one. That’s what it takes he said. We demurred. I forgot about cartoons for twenty-five years……until ai came around and I found I could get an idea well executed in two minutes instead of two to three weeks and I found myself once again in a think them up mode.

I expected and got a lot of push back about using ai but I was convinced that this was a new way of constructing and seeing cartoons that would soon be accepted as a valid art form. I’m more convinced now than ever of that premise. I did a lot as you may see of traditional themed cartoon, but when the political scene turned ugly what I had been doing started seeming to be irrelevant, and I found myself focusing almost exclusively on political toons.

Subsequently this web site is divided like Gaul into three parts: part one are all the politically themed toons, part two are all the more traditional ai drawn toons and part three are the hand draw toons drawn by Jeff Law. I hope you are amused.
